Periodontal (Gum) Care

Periodontal (gum) disease is one of the most prevalent dental problems in adults. Left untreated, it can cause serious health problems and tooth loss. If we can detect it early, our highly qualified doctors and hygienists can help you reverse the damage using a special cleaning procedure referred to as “scaling and root planning.” Our doctors and hygienists can remove plaque and tarter deposits from your teeth.  We are also available to treat your existing periodontal needs.

Endodontic Therapy (Root Canal)

Not long ago, injured or diseased teeth required extraction. Now Drs. Mitchem and Ruffato can save these diseased teeth using endodontic treatment. Endodontic therapy (more commonly referred to as root canal) generally involves the removal and replacement of a tooth’s pulp — the soft tissue within the tooth that contains nerves, nutrients, and blood vessels. When the pulp becomes infected, endodontic therapy can save the tooth. Without treatment, the tooth may have to be extracted. If you are interested in learning more about endodontic treatment, contact us to arrange a consultation.
